About the doctor
Dr. Ioannis Kambanis
Three and a half decades of medicine — from hospital wards and directorships to public service — now dedicated to personal, attentive care in the community.
Dr. Ioannis Kambanis graduated from the Medical University of Bologna, Italy, and went on to complete sub-specialisation training in Diabetology and Geriatrics in Athens.
After finishing his five-year residency programme, he began his career at Kos General Hospital, where he later served as Coordinating Director of the Medical Department and, subsequently, as Director of the Hospital.
From 2019 to 2023 he was elected District Governor (Prefect) of Kos and Nisyros Islands, dedicating himself to public service for the island community.
Today, Dr. Kambanis brings 35 years of clinical and leadership experience to his private practice in Zipari, where he cares for patients with the same attention and continuity that defined his hospital career.
